PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

Public participation is important to my practise. Involving the public brings the human element directly into the work, so that questions around the individual and humanity in general are emphasised. The concept of the work belongs to the artist, but I like the idea that the work can only be made if people engage with it and understand what I am saying. The most successful work seems to me when initially the idea seems simple, but there is an underlying seriousness which encourages people to think more deeply.

Diana can be commissioned to create public participation in specific sites.
