THE BIG BOOK 2010

The Big Book sculpture is 2.2m high, constructed out of wood and bound in leather. The sculpture is symbolic of the power of books and its title is IMAGINE.

The public are invited to contribute their thoughts and ideas by writing on the canvas pages inside.

The book was launched in the Clarendon Quadrangle of the Bodleian Library, Oxford by Richard Ovenden, Associate Director and Keeper of Special Collections.

During the five day installation over 1,200 people contributed in 56 languages.

Oxford University Press and Oxford Inspires are supporting the installation in Bonn Square from 17th - 20th September where further contributions can be made.
